The award was given by the U.S. Green Building Council, which developed LEED.

Who says there’s no snow in Texas? A recent snowfall – curiously concentrated in Teravista – turned the community into a Winter Wonderland, delighting hundreds of residents and visitors for the day.

Newland Communities and Ryland Homes are teaming up to help give a fresh start to single mothers in Central Texas.  Newland Communities, developer of Teravista in Round Rock and Falcon Pointe in Pflugerville, is a national founding sponsor of HomeAid on Wheels, which is spearheading the HomeAid Family Cottage at the Texas Baptist Children’s Home in Round Rock. his nine-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot cottage will provide a home-like environment that can host up to seven single mothers and their children, with stays ranging from three months to two years per family.

On the final week of their 10^th anniversary festivities, the North Austin communities of Teravista and Falcon Pointe received some great news from the Metrostudy research firm – in the form of a very positive new housing report.

It might be a while before Austin can challenge Detroit for the “Motor City” title, but we got off to a strong start with the recent announcement that General Motors Corp. is bringing up to 500 new jobs to the Tech Ridge area just south of Round Rock.

Teravista’s annual Back To School Bash is a popular annual tradition that helps young residents banish any end-of-summer blues and meet new classmates for the upcoming school year. Set for Sat., Aug. 18 – the last weekend before school starts – the Bash will take place at the big pool at the Teravista Residents Club.

When Suzanne and Bill George moved from Houston to Austin a year ago to start a new life of semi-retirement, they seriously considered a new home in a very popular Austin area active adult community. “I’m SO glad we moved to Teravista instead,” said Suzanne, who loves the community’s lively mix of generations.
